CRITERIA FOR HALL OF FAME

The VATA Presidential Service Award is an honor reserved for an individual or group in recognition of their service, contribution, or grassroots effort to the profession of athletic training.
Through dedication, selflessness and hard work, their contribution has promoted not only the common mission of the Virginia Athletic Trainers' Association, but has influenced the patient population in which they serve.
General Criteria for Nomination

Nominees may be a current or retired BOC certified Athletic Trainer, Physician, or other individual with a direct relationship to the Athletic Training Profession.

Nominees must have been a practicing athletic trainer for a minimum of 20 years (MD or associate member must have equal years’ experience in their respective profession).

Nominees must have worked in Virginia for at least 15 years (may be non-consecutively).

If the nominee is an athletic trainer, he/she must have been a member of the VATA for a minimum of 5 years.
Guidelines For Submission

All nominations must be submitted by current VATA members only.

The sponsoring member must fill out the above nomination form and include 1-letter of recommendation for the nominee

One additional letter of recommendation is required with the nomination. (This individual does not need to be a member of the VATA.)

Letters of recommendation can be submitted with the nomination form or sent electronically to VATAhonorsawards@gmail.com

Nominations must be submitted by October 1st.

HOF will be voted upon by the VATA Executive Council.

HOF winners will be recognized at the VATA Annual Meeting.
